ALIYAH DEER, EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

Aliyah is a Kanien’kehá:ka woman from the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawà:ke. She is currently enrolled at Dawson College in the General Social Science program and plans on pursuing a major in marketing and a minor in communications.  

In October of 2022 Aliyah started working at Dable Advisory and Consulting Services as a Marketing, Branding and Sales Intern and has provided Dable with business analyses and successful promotional pieces before taking over the position of Administrative Assistant, completing day-to-day tasks, carrying out administrative duties, and managing the acceleration of work completion. 

Aliyah has several years of experience working within one of the most popular global fast-food franchise as a manager where she gained experience working within a team setting and improving customer experience. Due to her efforts, Aliyah was promoted several times within only two years of employment.  

Further, she has also worked within inventory and sales for an Indigenous business and has interest in giving back to her community through volunteering. The institutions Aliyah has volunteered at include the Kateri Food Basket, the Kahnawake Youth Center and Kahnawà:ke’s Animal Protection service where she ensured proper functioning of the organization’s services.
